Proposed Development – Members Update

Dear Members,    

At this stage we are unable to confirm dates for our next Information Night and the Extraordinary General Meeting. Arden have submitted their updated costings and commercial terms and the Board needs to allow enough time to complete our due diligence on the proposal. To achieve that we are working with our own consultants, including Wayne Camenzuli from Innova Capital and he is providing professional advice to us based on his extensive experience working with clubs and associated property developments.

The latest draft of the clubhouse and car park design was submitted to the Board. Our main concern at this point is the projected cost. The plans are being reviewed to ensure we achieve the best outcome for Muirfield Golf Club and its members.

We trust members understand the complexity of the project and we will provide further information as soon as we are able to do so.

Our Annual General Meeting will be scheduled for Thursday 21st November 2019. We are allowed a 5-month window, from financial year-end, in which to hold our AGM. 

I would like to extend our apologies for any confusion over dates originally proposed to hold these meetings. There are many issues to work through, engagement with consultants and discussions with relevant authorities in a proposal of this nature thus the delays we have encountered. Future dates will be confirmed by separate notice to members.
