Even though the rain fell heavily in the days prior, the Greens renovations were carried out and have been successful.
Many thanks to the volunteer contingent who helped out, as the renovations wouldn’t be as easy without you.
There was a heavy downpour on Tuesday which washed a lot of the sand out of the core holes and so the course staff have had to do another dusting of sand on Thursday to ensure all the holes are filled – this is vital to achieving a smooth surface after regrowth.
The grass will be allowed to grow over the coming week and then receive the first cut after 7-10 days. More sand dustings may be needed depending on the rain that is hanging around at the moment.
